New York Holiday Visit

The day after Christmas we took the Limoliner bus to NY and Mom and Dad met us and drove us into Queens. We had a really nice visit with them, staying in Bayside for the whole week, and then driving back to Boston with them and spending an extra couple of days there.

ddd Marcus loves his Christmas presents! Here you see him entranced by his new Hess truck, reading his first book, and standing up next to his Christmas stocking.

fg He also loves the excitement of his post-Christmas family visits: meeting cousin Maria for the frst time, napping on Aunt Mary's sofa (with Robert lying below him as a safety net), and spinning around in the deskchair in Grandma and Grandpa's apartment.

dAnd of course he loves cuddling with GMC (Grandma Connie)!

ddd Marcus got to meet his Greek family for the first time, too--here he carries on a conversation with Aunt Pauline, stands up on Dom's lap, and poses with me, Helene, and Aunt Pauline.

dMarcus has a cute little dragon toy who crinkles when you touch her, and who lives inside an extra-crinkly dragon egg. He's very possessive of her, grabbing her and clutching her to him.

ddHappy new year, baby! Marcus smiles for the camera and gnaws on a Smokin' Al's BBQ baby back rib that Steve feeds him on New Year's Eve in Massapequa.

ddOn New Year's Day, we got together with some of Robert's Hunterite friends: pictured are Robert with Marcus and Noah with Levi, just two months apart in age, and Ben holding Marcus.

dd On our last day in NY, Marcus sleeps in in the morning and then naps in the car on the way back to Boston--angelic baby!

dsd Once home, polar bear baby stays toasty until our house warms up after our time away, and then overseer baby supervises Robert and Dad as they put down a new kitchen floor.

d The new year back in Boston brought the UPS man, bearing a beautiful handmade book-shaped box from Aunt Asma. Wow! Marcus is thrilled and expresses his joy in his characteristic open-mouthed way.
